To clear up my studio, I used all the pieces of panel which were off-cuts from other projects to create a whole mess of cradled panels for painting on. I decided to make a whole body of works with this madcap collection of oddly sized cradled panels, all loosely related to one another, and designed to work together as a group painting as well as individually. This was the first painting of the series which was completed; it's an homage, of sorts, to the legendary Canadian punk band SNFU, making multiple references to many of their songs. Another unique feature of this work is the treatment of the sides of the panels. They are painted to appear as a cross section of the scene, giving the viewer an alternate 90 degree viewpoint into the world inside the painting.
